Elon musk backed OpenAI has created software that builds a Game or Software by just giving instruction in natural language to generate complete software code.

OpenAI has been working on a system that will allow AI to write its own software, and today they announced in their blog post that they have an improved version of their product Codex. The new tool offers better accuracy at translating natural language to code.

Just a month ago, GitHub unleashed the newest thing in the world of Artificial Intelligence: GitHub Copilot. It's powered by Codex, an AI-powered tool that builds software from natural language descriptions. This artificial intelligence system can interpret simple commands and execute them on the user's behalf, making it possible to build a natural language interface to existing applications.

OpenAI-Codex is a descendant of GPT-3 with training data that also includes natural language, and billions of lines of code from public sources, including GitHub repositories.

OpenAI Codex is the most capable in Python, but it is also proficient in over a dozen languages including JavaScript, Go, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Swift and TypeScript, and even Shell.

GPT-3's main skill is generating natural language in response to natural language prompts, meaning the only way it has an effect on the world is through the reading of the reader.OpenAI Codex can understand natural, spoken English. But it can also read and write in code, too. This means you can ask it to do something with all the major software companies that have APIs.

They said in their blog "Once a programmer knows what to build, the act of writing code can be thought of as (1) breaking a problem down into simpler problems, and (2) mapping those simple problems to existing code (libraries, APIs, or functions) that already exist. The latter activity is probably the least fun part of programming (and the highest barrier to entry), and it’s where OpenAI Codex excels most."
